Edenred is a leading digital platform for services and payments and the everyday companion for people at work, connecting more than 60 million users and 2 million partner merchants in 45 countries via close to 1 million corporate clients.

Edenred Eyecare is a service which allows employees to apply for physical vouchers towards eye tests, prescription glasses and safety glasses needed for their work, at the expense of their employer.

I was responsible for the end-to-end design of the new portal, including:

Discovery

The existing journeys needed to be mapped to understand the moving parts of the product, what was to be retained and what was to be replaced. Input from product managers, operations and card provisioning teams was necessary to get the full picture of the system and any technical constraints. Figjam provided an excellent tool to collaborate and workshop ideas and iterate towards an optimal structure for the new portal.

Due to the extensive design system that I had built for the Edenred Hub project, I was able to build 90% of the journeys using dev-ready components and established and well-tested design patterns. Within a couple of days I already had initial journeys for the claim processes (the core of the product) built into prototypes for technical validation and user testing.

Making such rapid progress on the core functions, and being able to validate, test, and hand those over for development early, left me able to work on other areas such as log in and account. Again, these utilised existing patterns and components allowed me to create these journeys incredibly quickly, so the development team always had a backlog of ready for dev design to pick up and run with.
